Xiaomi officially expanded its streaming hardware lineup in Mexico this week with the release of the second-generation Xiaomi TV Stick 4K. The device is now available through the company’s official Mexican storefront and Amazon Mexico for 1,149 pesos.

As the streaming market grows more crowded, Xiaomi is looking to capture users with a focus on high-fidelity hardware. The new stick supports 4K Ultra HD resolution and features Dolby Vision for image processing. According to Xataka Mexico, these specifications aim to provide users with ultra-precise visuals for high-definition content.

Competitive hardware specs

The device prioritizes audio quality as well, integrating Dolby Atmos for immersive sound. Despite its small form factor, the hardware includes dual-band Wi-Fi 6 to ensure stable connectivity during high-bandwidth streaming sessions.

Xiaomi has opted for Google TV as the operating system, which includes a built-in Chromecast feature. This allows users to cast content directly from mobile devices and access a wide library of streaming applications. The remote control uses Bluetooth technology, enabling voice commands from any angle without requiring a direct line of sight to the stick.

Amazon Mexico is managing the fulfillment for the device, providing free shipping options to all customers. Prime subscribers can access faster delivery times, and the retailer is offering payment plans of up to three months without interest. Consumers also have the option to purchase a three-year damage protection plan and can take advantage of a 30-day free return policy.

This release places Xiaomi in direct competition with established streaming platforms like Roku and Amazon’s own Fire TV series. By emphasizing 4K capabilities and the Google TV ecosystem, the company is attempting to carve out a larger share of the Mexican home entertainment market.
