The Investigative Police (PDI) have arrested an employee of the Eduardo Frei Montalva health center (Cesfam) in La Cisterna, accused of threatening a shooting at the facility. The 47-year-old woman was linked to the incident after a threatening message was discovered within the premises.
The incident began when health center staff discovered a message written on a wall. The note warned that an armed attack would take place this Monday. Given the severity of the threat, staff immediately notified the authorities.
According to reports from biobiochile.cl, detectives from the La Cisterna Criminal Investigation Brigade (Bicrim) launched a technical forensic investigation. Through fingerprint analysis, experts were able to identify the worker as the person responsible for the threat.
Police deployment
The investigation required coordination between several specialized units to clarify the events. Commissioner Mariela Ibález, of the La Cisterna Bicrim, stated that “due to the gravity of the situation, a police deployment was carried out, including the Central Criminalistics Laboratory, with the goal of finding those responsible.”
The detainee faces charges of making threats and is scheduled to be formally charged in court this Monday. The investigation remains ongoing to determine if there were any other individuals involved in the planning of the announced attack.
