Dominic Frimpong, a 20-year-old winger for Berekum Chelsea, was killed during an armed robbery targeting his team's bus in Ghana. The attack occurred on the Bibiani-Goaso highway in Ahyiresu as the squad was returning from a Ghana Premier League fixture.

An armed group intercepted the vehicle and opened fire on the bus. While several players and club officials managed to flee into the nearby forest to escape the gunfire, Frimpong was unable to flee the vehicle in time.

According to local reports, the young athlete sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Emergency responders rushed him to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
