Omoda | Jaecoo has announced a new promotional campaign for its Jaecoo 7 SHS plug-in hybrid SUV, aimed at helping Chilean drivers offset the impact of rising fuel prices.
Throughout the month of April, the first 20 units sold will receive a gift card equivalent to 20,000 kilometers of fuel. The promotion also includes financing incentives for the Andes version, which is available starting at $22,990,000.
Efficiency and Cost Savings
The vehicle utilizes a plug-in hybrid system that combines a 1.5L turbo engine with an electric motor. This technology allows for an all-electric range of up to 90 kilometers, with a total driving range exceeding 1,200 kilometers.
Switching to electric charging offers a cost-effective alternative to gasoline. While filling a fuel tank can cost more than $70,000, an equivalent electric charge costs around $21,000.
According to the company, plug-in hybrid vehicles can reduce fuel consumption by more than 40%.
“Every time gas prices rise, it becomes even more evident that energy efficiency has moved from being an optional benefit to a central factor in household economics,” said Nicolás Pietrantoni, General Manager of Omoda | Jaecoo.
Pietrantoni noted that the campaign seeks to provide an alternative with more predictable running costs for those looking to reduce their vehicle's operating expenses.
