Brands are increasingly abandoning traditional social media feeds in favor of Telegram, seeking to bypass declining organic reach on mainstream platforms. The messaging app, which surpassed 1 billion monthly active users in March 2025, has become a primary hub for corporate communication and direct consumer engagement.

Data from the Telegram Marketing 2025–2026 report, compiled by Magnetto, reveals that nearly 450 million people use the application daily. The platform continues to expand its footprint, attracting roughly 2.5 million new users every 24 hours.

The shift to direct notification marketing

Telegram’s structure allows brands to push content directly to the lock screens of subscribers through its channel feature. In an era where algorithm-driven feeds often hide organic posts, this capability offers companies a more reliable way to ensure their messages reach an audience.

“In an ecosystem where organic reach has collapsed, this promise is almost countercultural,” said Magnetto analyst Mozolkova. “Channels generate more than a trillion views a month and posts maintain an average open rate of 55% to 60%, a figure far superior to most social networks.”

Unlike traditional social media, where brands fight for attention in a crowded, chaotic feed, Telegram channels provide a dedicated space for direct interaction. This shift is particularly pronounced among firms in the SaaS, fintech, and cybersecurity sectors.

The report highlights that Telegram’s appeal extends beyond its sheer volume of users. The platform hosts a professional audience profile that is unusual for a messaging app, making it an ideal environment for B2B services looking to target specific demographics without the noise of consumer-grade social media.

By leveraging the platform’s high engagement metrics, companies are successfully trading the broad, low-conversion visibility of legacy social platforms for a smaller but significantly more attentive audience. As these trends persist, Telegram is cementing its status as a critical tool for digital marketing strategy in the coming year.
