"The forced closure compelled our ambulances to take longer, more difficult routes, which directly and critically impacted the time available to rescue the wounded," the PRCS stated in a formal communique. The organization has since issued a stern demand for the establishment of safe humanitarian corridors, insisting that the occupying power, Israel, must uphold its obligations under International Humanitarian Law to facilitate, rather than hinder, life-saving medical operations.
