Constanza Martínez, President of the Frente Amplio, has questioned the legitimacy of the National Reconstruction Plan promoted by the José Antonio Kast administration. In an interview with Radio Duna, the political leader claimed the legislative proposal misleads the public by concealing its true intent.

"It is a law that is essentially a bait-and-switch," Martínez stated, referring to how the Executive branch has presented the initiative to the country. The party leader cast doubt on the transparency of the current legislative process and the honesty of the official presentation.

The leader also pointed to irregularities in how the government has managed fiscal information. According to her statements, the administration used a narrative of financial crisis to justify political and management decisions.

"The whole excuse that the country was broke was nothing more than a communications stunt," Martínez denounced. She noted that the official narrative shifted from claiming a treasury of only $40 million to having to acknowledge the existence of over $3.4 billion.

Economic Instability and Lack of Dialogue

Regarding macroeconomics, Martínez warned of a loss of control over price indicators. The President of the Frente Amplio cautioned that previously achieved stability has been compromised by the current administration's management.

"In just 20 days, we moved outside all the inflation margins we had managed to stabilize," the leader stated. For the Frente Amplio leader, this phenomenon is a direct consequence of improvisation and a lack of credibility in state management.

Regarding the proposal to reduce corporate taxes, Martínez expressed a sense of conditional openness. She stated she could be open to discussing the measure, provided it is accompanied by other reforms to prevent a setback in fiscal balance.

"I am willing to talk, but it must be based on data and a willingness to listen to the other side," she noted. However, the leader dismissed the technical validity of the tax cut as a driver of growth. Citing experts, she characterized the economic revitalization proposal as "economic flat-earthism" due to its lack of technical substance.

The politician also addressed the atmosphere of tension prevailing in public discourse. Martínez noted that a complex environment exists, making the exchange of ideas with the government difficult.

"Amidst a situation of family crisis, such as the one caused by this government, I believe it is necessary to have an honest debate with the Executive, which is currently not happening," the leader affirmed.

Finally, her criticism focused on the Executive's isolation from the opposition. Martínez argued that the Kast administration has avoided the necessary opportunities for consensus-building.

"This government has shown no interest in talking to anyone who thinks differently," concluded the President of the Frente Amplio.
