Authorities discovered the lifeless body of a man on Thursday in the Paine commune of the Metropolitan Region.
The victim was found alongside the Las Lilates road in the Chada area, according to preliminary reports from latercera.com.
Investigators noted the body bore multiple injuries. The deceased was covered with a sheet, and his hands and neck were bound with wire.
According to the outlet, the victim was also missing one of his eyes.
Ongoing investigation
Personnel from the Prosecutor's Office's Organized Crime and Homicide Team (ECOH) are currently investigating the incident.
