The United Arab Emirates underscored its integral role in global aviation and the strength of its bilateral ties with India during the 'Wings of India 2026' conference held in Hyderabad, according to reports from Helm News.

UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri stated that the nation ranks among the most air-connected countries worldwide, functioning as a key node for international trade, tourism, and economic expansion.

Al Marri cited specific data, noting that the UAE accounts for two point three percent of global international passenger traffic and thirty-two point two percent of regional traffic volumes. This connectivity is reportedly sustained by substantial investment in integrated aviation infrastructure and operational ecosystems.

The Minister also addressed the sector's future trajectory, emphasizing ongoing efforts to foster a smarter and more sustainable aviation industry through the adoption of digital innovation and measures aimed at emission reduction.

Furthermore, the official praised the existing cooperation between the UAE and India, describing the relationship as a benchmark for strategic partnerships spanning aviation, tourism, and the emerging new economy.

He called for the continuation of this collaborative framework to further solidify existing travel routes and enhance economic integration between the two nations, according to the conference proceedings.

The emphasis on aviation leadership and bilateral strategic alignment positions the UAE as a crucial geopolitical and economic hub navigating post-pandemic global connectivity challenges.
