Iran’s Foreign Ministry has condemned YouTube's decision to suspend the account of Explosive Media, a pro-Iranian group known for producing Lego-style AI animations.

The ban follows the release of a video lampooning former U.S. President Donald Trump, which declared "Iran won" last week.

Explosive Media announced on X that YouTube suspended its account citing "violent content." The group's other social media accounts remain active.

Allegations of censorship

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei characterized the suspension as an attempt to suppress information regarding the conflict between the U.S., Israel, and Iran.

"Simply to suppress the truth about their ‘illegal war’ on Iran and shield the American administration’s false narrative from any competing voice," Baghaei posted on X on Monday.

Baghaei pointed to the irony of the ban, noting that the U.S. hosts major animation studios like Pixar and Disney while targeting independent creators.

Explosive Media produces content that utilizes U.S. popular culture to criticize American foreign policy. The group describes itself as independent, though analysts suspect ties to the Iranian government.

Recent videos from the group have garnered millions of views. One clip featured a caricature of Trump with a flaming backside holding a sign that read, "VICTORY! I am a loser."

Another post from the group celebrated a recent ceasefire agreement, stating, "Trump surrendered. IRAN WON."

The group's content frequently portrays U.S. leadership as isolated and disconnected from reality.
