Pakistan defeated Australia by 90 runs in the second Twenty20 International in Lahore, sealing the three-match series with a 2-0 lead, according to reports from Al Jazeera Sports.

Captain Salman Ali Agha posted his highest score in the format, hitting 76 off 40 balls, while Usman Khan contributed 53 from 36 deliveries, propelling Pakistan to a total of 198-5, their highest-ever T20I score against Australia.

Following the substantial total, Pakistan’s spin contingent systematically dismantled the Australian batting lineup, sharing all 10 wickets between them as Australia were bowled out for 108 in 15.4 overs.

Abrar Ahmed recorded the best figures of three wickets for 14 runs, with Shadab Khan also claiming three wickets for 26 runs, securing the comprehensive margin of victory for the hosts.

Australian captain Mitchell Marsh acknowledged the superior performance, stating that Pakistan outplayed his side and successfully applied immense pressure during the batting innings, as reported by Al Jazeera.

Agha emphasized the need for sustained intensity moving forward, noting that the team aims to maintain the same energy level into the upcoming World Cup, which commences in India and Sri Lanka on February 7.

The decisive bowling effort nullified the return of key Australian batters, including Marsh who was dismissed for 18 by Abrar Ahmed, further underscoring Pakistan’s tactical advantage in the contest.
