Major theater chains announce $2,000 tickets for upcoming Cinema Day
Cinema ticket promotion in Chile

Major theater chains will offer tickets starting at $2,000 pesos during a three-day promotional event running from April 20 to April 22. The "Día del Cine" initiative includes several of the country's primary cinema operators.

Participating chains include Cinépolis, Cineplanet, Cinemark, Muvix, and Cine Star. These companies have confirmed their involvement in the upcoming edition of the event.

According to reports from elmostrador.cl, the promotion features significant price reductions. Standard 2D screenings will feature tickets priced from $2,000 pesos.

Premium experiences will also see lower costs. Attendees can access 3D, IMAX, and specialized hall formats for prices near $4,000 pesos.

Ticket availability and pre-sale

The initiative seeks to increase theater attendance by offering discounts that exceed 50% in certain instances. These reductions apply to both admission prices and associated cinema products.

The event spans three consecutive days, beginning Monday, April 20, and concluding Wednesday, April 22. This window allows moviegoers to select from various available showtimes across the nation.

Pre-sales for the event begin on April 15. Tickets are available through both digital platforms and physical box offices.

High interest in these discounted sessions often leads to rapid sell-outs. Organizers recommend that customers purchase tickets in advance to ensure availability for high-demand screenings.
