Musical project G Y T has announced an upcoming Santiago show to commemorate the 40th anniversary of their iconic hit "Es por amor." The concert will take place at Teatro Caupolicán on May 8, 2026.
The duo, consisting of Pablo Guyot and Alfredo Toth, will bring a repertoire to the Chilean capital that captures the essence of their time in the Argentine band G.I.T. The show is scheduled to begin at 8:30 PM.
A journey through the G.I.T. legacy
"Es por amor" was originally released in 1986 as part of the albumGIT Volumen 3. This release was a milestone in the music scene of that era for the group, which originally featured Guyot, Toth, and Willy Iturri.
Currently, the duo is on an international tour performing under the name G Y T. The show revisits the classics from their 1980s era.
The lineup announced for the Chile date features a group of seasoned musicians. Alfredo Toth will handle bass and vocals, while Pablo Guyot will perform on guitar and vocals. The band is rounded out by Guillermo Cudmani on guitar and Bolsa González on drums.
Tickets for the show are now available online via the Puntoticket website. Organizers have released pricing details based on different seating sections.
Prices for the Tribuna section are set at $40,250. For those opting for Palcos (boxes), the price is $63,250. Both prices include the service fee from the ticketing platform.
