Nissan has officially introduced the 2026 V-Drive to the Mexican market, a sedan designed to revitalize the legacy of the previous Versa generation. According to reports from xataka.com.mx, the vehicle aims to become the preferred choice for commercial fleets, taxis, and ride-hailing drivers for platforms such as Uber and DiDi.

The model stands out for its ability to offer a rapid return on investment for those working in the transportation sector. This is made possible by its fuel efficiency and a competitive price point, starting at 339,900 pesos for the base TM version and reaching 347,900 pesos for the TM version.

Technical Specifications and Features

The vehicle is powered by a 1.6L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine, delivering 118 horsepower and 110 lb-ft of torque. Its exterior dimensions include a length of 4.4 meters, a width of 1.7 meters, and a height of 1.4 meters, with a wheelbase of 2.6 meters.

Regarding features, both available versions come equipped with 15-inch steel wheels with covers, a seven-inch touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The TM version adds extra safety features, such as intelligent emergency braking and forward collision warning.

Structural safety is bolstered by six airbags, including front, side, and curtain types. For urban use, the cabin accommodates five passengers, and the trunk offers a volume of 460 liters.

The car will be available in five colors: white, pearl white, silver, black, and red. To facilitate purchase, Nissan is offering financing plans with monthly payments ranging between 9,421 and 9,643 pesos.

In the Mexican market, the V-Drive competes directly with models such as the 2026 Mazda2 Sedan, which has a base price of 301,900 pesos, and the 2027 Kia K3 Sedan, starting at 438,800 pesos. The MG5 remains the most affordable alternative in this group, with a starting price of 264,900 pesos.
