Textile company MAGTEX has announced its international expansion plans, targeting new operations in Spain and a new office in Shanghai, China. The company aims to establish itself as a global powerhouse by leveraging the same distribution model that has already proven successful in Mexico and the United States.

Headquartered in Houston, Texas, to serve the U.S. market, the organization plans to replicate its strategic partner system within the European market. This move is part of a methodical growth strategy that began in 2012 as a project at Cornell University in New York.

Scaling Through a Replicable Model

Company founder Mauricio Arechavaleta maintains that internationalization is a process rooted in discipline. He noted that the distributor-led scheme has allowed the company to scale operations without compromising efficiency.

“Our distributor model has been key to scaling operations without losing consistency or operational efficiency. Each new market is integrated under previously validated standards, ensuring both replicability and control,” said Arechavaleta.

The company currently operates through strategic retail points in Nuevo León, including Monterrey, Mitras Centro, and Nogalar. This domestic distribution network serves as the foundation for its expansion across other continents.

Unlike its competitors, the company has developed its own manufacturing ecosystem to maintain control over costs and delivery timelines. This oversight of the production chain allows MAGTEX to offer customized products tailored to the corporate identities of various organizations.

The company's portfolio ranges from t-shirts and shirts to protective apparel such as jackets and vests. The product line also emphasizes inclusivity, offering a wide range of sizes from XS to 7XL.

For Arechavaleta, the goal is not merely to expand the company's geographic reach, but to build a robust global platform. The executive noted that the current expansion phase represents only the next chapter in the company's journey.
